Key Information on Zopiclone Use
Indications: Zopiclone is intended for transient and short-term insomnia, typically for a duration of a few days to a maximum of 4 weeks, including the tapering-off period. Long-term use is not recommended due to the risk of tolerance, dependence, and withdrawal symptoms.
Dosage: The usual adult dose is 7.5 mg, taken once, just before bedtime. A lower starting dose of 3.75 mg is recommended for elderly patients or those with liver or kidney problems to minimize the risk of side effects.
Administration:
Take it only when you can get at least 7 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew it.
